Vacuuming Convenience like you've never experienced before
An Innovative Hose Storage Solution for a BEAM Central Vacuum System
Quick & easy to use
Your Beam Central Vacuum is always within reach as there is a lightweight hose at every inlet for quick everyday clean-ups or to vacuum entire buildings.
Patented locking system
A 12m vacuum cleaning hose is stored in the central vacuum ducting system in the wall of the building, but you only need to pull out the length you require.
Retracts within seconds
The hose automatically stores within the ducting system behind each inlet.
What is a Retractable Hose Management System?

Our new retractable hose management system is an alternative option to the 9 metre hose supplied with a Beam Central Vacuum System. A central vacuum system is integrated throughout your property and along with the retractable hose, it allows you to vacuum faster and more conveniently than ever before.
The system contains three main elements:
- A vacuum power unit typically located in a utility room, garage or plant room.
- A concealed 50mm ducting network throughout the property connecting a series of centrally placed vacuum inlets.
- A 12 metre vacuum hose stored inside the ducting system behind every inlet.

A retractable hose vacuum system uses 50mm PVC ducting installed within the walls and floors to carry all dust, dirt and allergens away from the living area to the collection bin on the central power unit (usually located in garage or utility room). Simply pull out the retractable hose to the required length and begin to vacuum. With this built-in vacuum cleaner, you can easily move between rooms without lugging around a portable vacuum unit which can cause damage to walls and furniture.
Benefits of a Beam Central Vacuum with Retractable Hose
- Clinically proven health benefits - unlike conventional vacuums there's no recirculated dust or dirty air to breathe, helping to provide measurable relief for asthma and allergy sufferers.
- Quiet cleaning performance - as the power unit is located away from the point of cleaning, the only noise you'll hear is the quiet hush of airflow through the hose.
- Powerful suction - Beam Central Vacuum Systems are up to 50% more powerful than portable vacuums and compliant with EU directive on power consumption.
- Power on demand - there is no loss of power or charging required. Simply pull the hose from the wall and the vacuum unit will automatically start.
- Kitchen Vacpan - all our Beam Central Vacuum Systems come complete with a VACPAN® - the ultimate in kitchen convenience. Just switch the Vacpan on with your toe and sweep dirt to it.
- No maintenance or bags to buy - simply empty the bin 2-3 times per year.

Here are some answers to your most frequently asked questions about a Beam Central Vacuum System with Retractable Hose
Can a retractable hose system be installed in my existing house?
The hose management system is usually suitable only for new builds, however it may be possible to retrofit in a single storey house following a site survey.
Can my existing BEAM system be upgraded to a retractable hose?
Unfortunately it is not possible to upgrade existing BEAM systems to use a retractable hose as a different ducting layout is required to store the hose in the wall.
When should I plan for installation for a retractable hose option?
Planning is key. Decide early in the build and incorporate it into and alongside the plumbing and heating design.
