What is a Central Vacuum with Retractable Hose?

Our new retractable hose management system is an innovative central vacuum hose storage solution, where the hose is contained within the wall and pulled from the wall inlet for use. It is an alternative option to the conventional 9 metre hose supplied with a Beam Central Vacuum System. A central vacuum system is built into the walls of your property during construction, and along with the retractable hose, it allows you to vacuum faster and more conveniently than ever before.

The retractable hose vacuum system contains three main elements:

A central vacuum power unit typically located in a utility room, garage or plant room.
A network of 50mm ducting installed in the walls of the property during construction to vacuum inlets.
A 12 metre vacuum hose stored inside the ducting system behind every inlet.

How does a Central Vacuum with Retractable hose work?

Simply pull out the length of vacuum hose required, connect the telescopic wand and one of the attachments, and start vacuuming. When finished, retract the hose with the power of the vacuum unit.
